Ged Testing Service
Q: I have an 18 year of daughter who has a learning disability, auditory
processing, and is studying for her GED. I am a teacher and have home
schooled her since 9th grade. She is having difficulties with the test
and did not pass it the first time she took it. I am looking for any
advice or information on how to help her study for this test. Does
anyone know of any special provisions for taking the GED that are
available to learning disabled students?
A:I would assume that if she has a psychologist diagnosis, and you can submit
this to the testing service (does ETS do the GED as well as the SAT and all
the rest?), they would provide her any reasonable accomodation... most
common accomodations are extended time, marking the test booklet instead of
the sheet, etc.
