Free Online Ged Class Alabama

Q: I missed the first part of the school voucher thread, but I haven't seen any opinions of how school vouchers should apply to home schoolers. I'm interested in your opinion. Should home schoolers be allowed to use school vouchers to pay for their school expenses? Why or why not?

A:I entrusted the educations of my first 2 children to our public systems... Both these children were gifted.. According to the fanatic "placement test givers" with genius level IQ's... Neither of these children actually managed to graduate from high school, although both managed to score high enough on the GEDs (with a 10th grade education) to be accepted to UAH based on their GED scores... I find it rather frightening that they scored higher on this test then most high school seniors in the state of Alabama.. SHUDDER!!! I decided to go with the "Home Schooling" route with my next child, a daughter... For her last years of formal education, I chose a private school here in Huntville... Not the most expensive, but certainly one of the best.. (I did my research)... She is now in her second year of college at the University of South Alabama and has maintained a 4.0 average throughout.. A wonderful success story... My last child, a son, was home schooled until last year when HE decided he would like to go to a "regular school"... He is attending the same private school that my daughter attended and is an Honor Roll student... I don't mind telling you that these teachers were very worried about taking a home schooled child... I think they believed he might not know how to add!! LOL!! The point of this???... I am horrified when I read what the government says is spent to educate my child for one year in the public school setting... I'll be glad to save the government that money!! I'll keep my child home and teach him and they can send me just half of what they send good ol' Grissom for the privilege of not teaching my child!! Heck.. I'll take 25%... Or they can just give me back that percentage of my tax dollar that is allocated to education in the budget.... Miffs me when I hear those who say that they don't believe in the voucher system (in one form or another) or in tax credits for those who are willing to keep their child home and teach them or pay extra in order to send them to a private school which gets no federal funding... These people don't want to pay for my child's education???!!! Common sense tells me that the opposite is true... If I keep my child home and teach him and they take my taxes for education... I'm paying for your children's educations and I don't have that money to take care of my child's education... I can educate my child cheaper than the government can... Who couldn't!!!??? If I keep my child home, the cost of education for your child

goes down and the quality goes up when the size of the classrooms get smaller and teachers can spend more time with each student... And if there are fewer children in classrooms, there is no longer a teacher shortage... Perhaps we can actually get to the point that we can be much more particular about the quality of the educator who stands in the front of a classroom and takes responsibility for the minds of our children... The cost of education is out of control... Perhaps a more competitive market would bring it back into line... After all.. Sure did help my telephone bills and the quality of my service when I could finally pick my long distance carrier!!
