Fall In Love With The Jardi Hotel

Nestled at the heart of Barcelona, this hotel is one gem of a find. If you are looking to go to this wonderful city in Spain, then the Hotel Jardi is the place to stay. Recommended by the Sunday times, the hotel gives you A-1 experience for not a lot of money. The rooms are a bit small, but modern and clean. The café next door does create a bit of noise, but that just adds to the charm. But if it bothers you, all you need to do is close the windows and air-conditioning and voila: noise gone. And for a budget hotel, the staff is warm, friendly, and speaks very good English. If you feel like asking for tourist destinations or what place to find a local day tour, they are more than happy to recommend one. For someone who deals with transient tourists a lot, they are surprisingly cheerful and welcoming. The hotel itself is conveniently located: just a few blocks from Rambalas and the Cathedral. Next to it is Bar Del Pi, arguable one of the best bars in the city. Nearby is a very good place that serve tapas, as well as several spots frequented by locals: Plaza Catalunya and La Boquera Market near Rambla. Transportation is easy to come by, just take the bus near the hotel or a taxi. Be warned though: as a budget hotel, the Hotel Jardi is easily booked. It has a high rating in tourist magazines and is sometimes booked on tours. The internet is the best way to make a reservation, though last minute accommodations can still be made during the off-season. It is recommended

that you reserve a room well in advance and ask for an outside location. The view outside the hotel is amazing: a nice little church and two plazas in the Barri Gotic. Sitting in the balcony for a few hours each night, soaking up the Barcelona air, with a glass of wine or even the local coffee, you almost feel like a local. Overall, the Hotel Jardi is a good hotel for not a lot of money. It isn’t the Hilton and don’t expect to be spoiled by 24 hour room service. There won’t be mints on your bed or little notes on your pillow. If all you need is a good clean place to stay for the night, and perhaps extend that European experience, then the Hotel Jardi is the place to stay.
