Excellent Law And Order Criminal Intent ???

Q: I don't understand the standards of judgment used by most of the regulars here who have posted this past week. Law and Order: Criminal Intent has just about everything (so far) that the sex-fiend Law and Order lacks: great actors--whether they resemble Marge Helgenberger or not; the ability to deal not only with a variety of crimes but a variety of motives; and (as of last night) the sexiest detective since George Dzundza. It seems as if popular internet psychology, at least as it regards rec.arts.tv, is similar to adolescent psychology. At the beginning of the "school year," the "football players" and "cheerleaders" get to decide what's "cool" and what isn't. Then the lemmings (or lurkers) come out and try to "make it" with the "popular kids."

A: -I enjoy Criminal Intent, if only for its entertainment value. Granted, its cheesy, but its fun. I wish people would take themselves less seriously about Law and Order. I've been a fan of the original show since the beginning, and even though SVU got off to a very bad first season, I'm glad I stuck with it because it has weirdly enough supassed it's maker this season. It has been dramatic, sharply written, and excellently acted. The original L&O is starting to get a little tired, but I still love it. -Well, I agree with you about L&O:CI. This Sunday's

was the best . . . the show and the characters are progressing nicely. I just hope the awful pilot didn't turn off too many people. The Practice, however . . . I stopped watching after the idiotic funeral for what's-his-name Mr. Obnoxious Prosecutor, who I couldn't stand anyway. I briefly checked in for the last half hour the other week, and now, evidently, Jimmy is a gambling addict and did some nefarious deed to pay off his debts?? That was enough to satisfy my curiosity. As much as I hate to abandon Ellenor and Eugene, they were the only two characters I really liked, besides Jimmy (once he was no longer doing infomercials and generally acting like a schmuck).
