Electrical Engineering Courses
Q: Can anyone recommend an accredited college offering a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering online. I'm looking for a school that offers the complete degree program.
A: -So is everybody else. You can check with alt.education.distance, but I think you're gonna find that there really isn't anything that's accredited by anyone you'd care to associate with. This is unfortunate, because there's really no reason that someone can't get a perfectly good education by correspondence and/or videotape and/or WWW. What killed the reputation of correspondence schools was their own behavior and the guild mentality of the, ahem, traditional schools. -I believe NTU (National Technical University) offers graduate degrees in electrical engineering. I think there are a few others too. I'm not sure about BSEE degrees, though. Even so, I think you have to travel to the university to take the exams. And you also have to maintain the same schedule as the students who attend the classes in person. -In the UK, you could look at The Open University (try something like www.open.ac.uk). They are a University which AFAIK does only distance learning, although I believe some attendance at summer schools is normally required unless it's completely impossible for you.
