Q: I'm trying myself to learn german because I don't have a lot of time to take courses.I'm looking for some resources on the web: URLs, dictionaries,etc.. Anyone know which are the best ones?

Lurk there for a while or go to the live journal list of communities and pick a German speaking group which discusses something of interest to you.With the help of a dictionary and if you get stuck, the team here, you should be able to translate the posts. After you have translated a bunch of them attempt to comment on a post. Bring it here and have our kind mentors check it out.Then post. I think the goal should be to lure people into a dialog with you. To me it's all about dialog.
