Disposable contact lenses of the daily kind expire at the end of the day and it will be the best to put them into the dustbin. Some such lenses have a life of a fortnight. Some others have a still longer life say a month. Their life depends more on your care and cleanliness. Disposable contact lenses depend largely on their time of replacement and the time when you wear them. The daily ones are in use only once, even if you wear them for an hour on a single day. They expire at the end of the usage. The other types need proper caring, cleaning, and storing at night. They have a prescribed lifetime like a week, two weeks or a month. At the end of such time, they need replacements. Amongst the different disposable contact lenses, the daily disposable ones are costlier than those are, which are disposable frequently. The obvious reason is their easy utility and you need not bother about cleaning or maintenance.

Most people prefer the latter, as they are comparatively cheaper. The contact lenses, which you can use for a month or so, are the costliest. You do not have to invest in a constant supply of the lenses with this type around. Disposable contact lenses are for you only if your doctor advises you to wear them. He will check your eye and its compatibility to such contact lenses. When you wear any lenses for a long time, these been exposed to your inner body fluids and may cause harm if they lack proper cleaning before the next use. They can cause infection and irritation in the eyes. Therefore, you can very well save yourself the anxiety by using the contact lenses of the disposable kind.
