DVD Rental

Renting DVDs is now more common than renting videotapes. It is a big business now to offer DVDs for rent. Convenience stores are getting in on the cash by offering better prices than stores like Blockbuster and Rogers. Many people are choosing to rent their videos from stores rather than rental places because of the high rental fees that other stores charge and the excessive late fees. That is probably why Blockbuster has gotten rid of their late fees hoping to compensate for high rental fees. There are also DVD clubs that you can join that offer excellent fees for your rentals. Of course, some DVD clubs are excellent for renting DVDs for a monthly fee. These are relatively new to the world at large but have been around a few years or so. How these clubs work is that you pay $19.99 a month for a membership and with it you get the chance to rent as many DVDs as you want to for as long as you want. When you are finished with each DVD shipment you send the back in prepaid postage and start ordering your next batch. The advantages of such clubs are that you certainly get your money’s worth out of the membership price if you are an avid video watcher and you can avoid late fees. The disadvantage is from the possibility of the movies being damaged in transit, I wouldn’t recommend that you sign for these clubs unless you watch a lot of movies in a month and are willing to wait until your movie comes in the mail. However, they are useless if you don’t have the

patience to wait and do not rent movies often. If you want to find great DVD rental prices, you should probably go to a rental store that has excellent fees like $2.99 for new releases. If you have to pay a lot of money to rent your movie, you should at least get it for more than one day. Renting DVDs usually requires that you have valid identification and a credit card. I don’t know why about the credit card, but that is what is often required. Renting DVDs is sometimes not as good a buy as actually purchasing one. Renting DVDs gives you the chance to view a movie so that you don’t buy a movie that you might not like. Renting is your buyer’s preview. That is what makes it so great.
