Cz Gold Wedding Ring, I Need Wedding Ring Help! ?

Q: Hello! We are both medical students (paying a fortune in tuition!) but we feel that it is time to get engaged. What we have settled on is buying the ring that I want but having an artificial/simulated stone placed in it until we can afford to replace the stone with the real thing. What I was wondering : 1) will jewelers have a fit if you tell them what you want to do? 2) what should we expect to pay for a ring like this 3) have any of you had personal experience with doing this? What did you do? 4)where can you find good selection? Are there any catalogs, ONLINE, or other places to look?

A:Have you ever thought that you might not even need or want an engagement ring? My aunt and uncle never did the engagement ring thing because she was in medical school and he was in law school. As a doctor, she finds it much easier to just have her wedding band and no diamond. I think you should just skip it all together, and then he can buy you a ring later on for an anniversary or something if you still want it. If youreally want the ring, then go with the cz, but they are not dirt cheap. You still want a 14 ct gold band. You can get this type ring at any jewelry store. I know that a lot of people do this. My MIL lost her diamond because it only had 4 prongs, and she replaced with a cz until they could replace it with another real diamond. A cz just doesn't look quite as beautiful as a real diamond. If you get any kind of custom designed band, it will come with a CZ. I got one in a "Bagley" setting (name of the designer). It is white and yellow gold and has the flush type setting you desire. After we picked a stone, I used the CZ as a decoration. He proposed at the

top of the Seattle Space Needle, so I got a pewter figurine that the CZ is now mounted on. I wanted to second the post of tradeshop (www.tradeshop.com). We just talked to Bill and finalized the order. He's FedExing the wedding bands and will post an image on his website of the actual bands when he gets done. They listed their credit rating with the bank among many other references on their web site that just made their reputation stick out leaps and bounds over other online jewelers we had looked at. And their prices were exceptional. We liked the idea that we met online and we bought our wedding bands online....but we are geeks at heart so go figure!
