There are also specialty stores that only do blinds. When you finally find the place you are looking for take the measurements of the windows and if at all possible bring a picture of the window. If you are redoing the whole room you may wish to bring samples of the carpeting, paint samples, fabric samples just about anything you have that will help in the decision for the making of the blinds. Although the decisions are totally up to the people who are the consumers the specialist will be more than happy to help with the decisions if asked at no extra charge to the patrons. However most places of business require you to pay first as there will be no returns on custom made items in most cases. The cutting of the blinds is most interesting and doesn’t require a lot of time. What does take the time is putting them all together with the right colors and hardware. Some jobs require more than one color, perhaps a two tone window blind or a picture. It is harder to custom make a smaller blind than it is to make a bigger blind because of all the details involved.
