Creditor Harassment
Q: If a creditor does the following things, does it constitute harassment and what can be
done about it?
1. make numerous calls to you at work after you ask them not to.
2. you have automatic payments scheduled for a certain date, they turn them in 5 days
or so earlier then say you bounced the payment.
3. they refuse to give you information to transfer the property to
someone else.
4. when the company changed ownership and they had a period of time
where you could sell back the property to the compay they refused to give information to
you about it.
5. they call your husband's new contract employer and tell them all sorts of
disparaging things about him so they wouldn't want to hire him.
6. they double the amount of money you owe them on collections notice.
A:Send it Certified, Return Reciept Requested, Notorized too..
if your check is pre-dated, and they try cashing it befor then, then they
have committed fraud, not you.
Yes, that is grounds for a serious lawsuit.
Collections notice? is this a collections agency? Don't deal with them.
Tell them to go to hell, and only deal with your original ceditor..
I did it for years, and now none of them bother me.. Then again, I paid
all of my creditors their money in full, And did not send one dime to any
collections agency..
