Continuing Education Toronto
Q: Relatively new to the field and seeking opinions on the distance
courses/certificate called (something like) Professional Translation for the Workplace (English-French)
offered at the School of Continuing Education of the University of Toronto.
I am currently taking the second of three course in this "program" and was
wondering about the "value" of the certificate. How good a program is this?
Is the certificate recognized? Basically- what is it worth?
Am also looking for general information about accreditation and getting work
and recognition in the field. Would appreciate any "beginner" advice.
A:I completed all of my translation training/studies in Toronto - first at
Ryerson (continuing education) with a Business French Translation
Certificate which basically didn't even get me a raise, although the company
