Class Action Sexual Harassment

Q: Take a young ambitious lawyer, a class action suit where the injured parties don't have to give up any money just information, and bingo, you're homeless. Please direct me to a young ambitious lawyer who will take out-of-state cases for a percent of the award. There's a guy in NJ I think I'd like to sue for slander and defamation of character.

A:The lawyers I'm associated with are doing their own recruiting by checking facts and transmissions between parties. The parties will not need to seek them out. Once contacted the parties will be informed to have no more contact with the harasser as litigation proceeds, or they may be asked to draw the harasser out using specific techniques. Some who think they've been slandered have actually been the slanderers. Or have instigated the problem to the point that there is no clear slander, only attack,

defend and attack. Getting involved in litigation means one should be sure their hands are clean. Class action involves more than one party, and state lines are moot, think Vioxx. If you personally have been slandered via the internet, and can prove you were not instigating the slanderer, by all means seek out legal help. New lawyers are a dime a dozen, and internet slander, sexual harassment, is a whole new and promising field. This soon will not be a faceless crime, they will find you. Especially by those that harass those not harassing them, using their real names in the harassment, publishing personal info, true or made-up, etc. Those will be strong sticking points.
