Civil Harrassment

Q: If you have any suggestions how to fix this problem and rescue my image of men on the internet, you are welcome to post it here, and you wonder why women are not on the net ?

A:That sounds more like a civil law answer. I was thinking more along the lines of a criminal action. If California has criminal penalties for stalking, she could probably go to the DA and initiate some action. Why pay for a lawyer if the state/county/city already is paying for one? Not necessarily, during a consultation, it could very well be determined that pursuing criminal remedies, in addition to or instead of civil remedies, may be appropriate. Again, there are many free or low cost resources for civl harassment and domestic violence. Not considering that and answering the call of your question... DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES it could take the criminal justice system

weeks or months. Pursuing a civil remedy, however, could take hours or days. Then again, DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES the criminal justice system may be an expedient remedy. Also, DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES, the criminal justice system may be unable to effect complete restitution. Also, it is most common to find that a private lawyer practicing in the area relating to civil harassment is more conversant with both civil and criminal remedies, whereas the DA's are typically in tune with only the criminal aspect. Just to name a few of scores, if not hundreds, of reasons why one may want to consult with a private lawyer, as well as those in the criminal justice system.
