Choosing Email Software
Email such as Eudora, OutLook, and WorldCast can be used to make your emailing as effective and as pleasant as possible. If you send and receive only a few emails every so often, the no-software email programs available through the web may meet your needs. If you tend to get and send lots of email, however, email software can make your life much easier by automating tasks, offering you greater control over your inbox, and by allowing you to store more emails. Email software also generally lets you store emails on your computer rather than in a virtual inbox. In real terms, this means that your emails will not be lost because your inbox is over your limit or because your web-based email program automatically deletes emails after a specific amount of time. Keeping your email on your hard drive on your hard disk via email software will also allow you to read your email even when you are not online and will allow you to store as much email as your hard drive can handle. All email software allow you to send and get emails, but if you will be using email software a lot, you should be sure to get a program that meets your specific needs. For example, if you send lots of emails to many different people, you will want email software that makes managing your address book easy. You will also want email software that allow you to easily organize your contacts into “groups” for easy group mailings. If you send out mass mailings, you will need a powerful email software that can send and handle many messages
