Cad Drafting Service

Q: How many architects, engineers, builders, and building contractors that frequent this group actually consider using long distance services such as this one? I really can not see the logic in it. It seems like it would take more time to communicate with this kind of service then just draw the plans myself. Not to mention specific code requirements for various locations. I've done the majority of my professional work in about 6 different locations across the US and each time I've had to take a trip to the local permitting authority for clarification on various requirements.

Many small, or newer offices have a seasonal busy period where extra help is needed. That is where outsourcing some work can really be of assistance. Being able to complete a set of plans on time is good for customer relations, and aids in repeat business. I am not a liscensed architect, or engineer, but have 10 years of extensive

experience & training in residential drafting. I have worked in New York, and Florida, and can handle plans of any complexity. I am currently working with Dacacad v.8.5. This final product using this software looks very architectural. I do really care about accuracy & the way the plans look. -A lot of things have changed in your field in recent years. It seems to me that people who can't adjust to changes will loose out. -There is at least one very good and very successful distributed firm with various disciplines in at least three different cities in Georgia. They have been working this way for some years. Success may come from the lead architect, a Navy pilot.
