CNU And Grantham College?
Q: I would appreciate any feedback on California National University or Grantham College of Engineering. I recently received catalogs from these institutions and they both look OK.
A: -California National University and Grantham College of Engineering are both accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council, an accreditor recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation and the US Department of Education but not by Regents College or Thomas Edison State College. Go figure. - Some areas of engineering, especially things like construction, environmental engineering, and road traffic engineering, require a state license. Some states will not grant a licence unless the bachelor's degree is from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET, http://www.abet.org/). I don't see California National University or Grantham College of Engineering listed on the ABET web site. I'm not aware of an institution that offers a bachelor's degree in engineering through distance learning, unless you have an employeer that is a member of a consortium that provides college courses at work.
