CNC Company"AL BABIN?

Q: I bought an item from CNC Company off E-Bay -- have not yet sent money. Got an E-mail from "Charlotte" (-- no last name) asking for me to send a money order made payable to "cnccompany" for the winning amount PLUS A "SMALL SHIPPING CHARGE OF $49" for an item that would cost no more than $15 at most to ship and insure. I sent back an E-mail offering $15 shipping and pointing out links to show that the $15 was excessive for shipping from her zip to mine, including insurance. No response to E-mails about shipping charges, so asked E-Bay for personal info. Full name is Charlotte Cole, and contact info was given by her to E-Bay as follows: User ID: cnccompany Name: charlotte Cole Company: City: southington State: CT Country: United States Phone: (860) 621-3460 Time/Date: Jul-13-00 06:41:17 PDT I called the number and got a male, who said he was the owner of the home, and it was Charlotte's home. When I said that I was calling about an E-Bay purchase, he angrily said that this was her home, not her business number, and that "this E-Bay crap has got to stop... " and something to the effect that "it's not even hers". I asked for a business number at which to call her, and he hung up. Call backs got answering machine only.... his may not be Al's stuff, but I'm convinced that it's NOT Charlotte's! Do you think so?Give me some ideas about it?

A: -FWIW, this year I ordered an item from a gentleman in New Jersey and after a month of not receiving the item and no communication from the above mentioned fine gentleman, I called up the internet white pages for that town and found the district attorneys number. Called it , mentioned internet fraud and was connected to an even finer gentleman who was an assistant d.a. and who was really interested in my story, He even dispatched one of his really, really fine detectives to talk to the above mentioned fine gentleman and the really, really fine detective lit a fire under the sorry dickheads ass and told him if the item wasn't shipped the lad was in deep kim-chee. Got it 3 days later. What I am wondering is if anyone who has received the shaft from Mr. Babin has contacted the D. A's office in the county that he lives in and filed a complaint? When I called to make my complaint, I really did not expect that the law might be interested in my complaint, but I sure was wrong. Nice fellows up there

in New Jersey -You say you sent your money six weeks ago and still no merchandise? You say the seller won't answer e-mail, and the phone's been disconnected? You say you bought one thing, but got another? You say it was a rusted lump of scrap iron with a coat of fresh Rustoleum Light Gray? Well, Bunkie, this is your lucky day. Here's what you can do to bring serious pressure to bear on the source of the problem -- the crooked/lazy/incompetent/lying/cheating/prevaricating seller who changes identities faster than he changes underwear. There are LOTS of things you can do. The more, the better. One complaint may come from a crank; dozens of complaints indicate a pattern.
