CAI Medical Transcription Course
Q: I will be signing up with a medical
transcription school in December. I don't have much money and am torn
between CAI and AHP.
The AHP long course goes into a lot of depth as to formatting, etc.
However, the CAI course has connections with MedQuist which is where I
would like to work.
I would like opinions on these two programs.
I understand that are more extensive schools out available; however, I
want to get the BEST education for the money I can spend. I have
narrowed my choices to these two programs.
A:-Where the heck do people get the idea that formatting is so all-fired
important? It is the least of your worries as each facility has its own format
and will tell you what that is. I don't think either of those courses is
anywhere near the best. "Can't afford" it doesn't cut it excep as in "You can't
afford NOT to take a good course." Otherwise what you "saved" in tuitition will
be magnified with what you lose IF you can land a job.
-I found that if you call up http://www.deja.com, and do a Google
search on 'CAI Transcription', you will uncover some posts on this
subject.
Then if you still have http://www.deja.com, and do a Google search on
'At Home Professions', you will uncover some posts on this subject.
BTW, if you want the best education for your money, you might look
into a medical transcription program which is offered at a community
college.
