Boku No Sexual Harrassment

Q: I just thought of something. No where in my posts have I said that yaoi isn't part of shoujo. In fact, I said it is. I'm just saying it ALSO fits into the hentai category, and for purposes of narrow categorizations, it fits in there better. I mean, do you really think Rob would want to put titles like _Boku no Sexual Harassment_ in with the "normal" anime titles? If so, fine. If not, the only other option (besides sticking them with hentai) is to not put them *anywhere*. Frankly, I'd rather stick _Ai no Kusabi_ (AnK) in with _Legend of the Overfiend_ ([LotO] sorry, I can't recall the JP title) then have it ignored completely.

A:O.K. I understand now. There isn't a shoujo FAQ, thus the rather strong responses. It simply never occurred to me that there wouldn't be a shoujo FAQ: ..is there any chance of one coming into existence? As for BnSH, i'll have to see it since it sounds like it is an explicit yaoi. I've seen Wind and Tree's song, Fake, Bronze/Cathexis and ai no Kusabi and most of those don't seem to fit that well into a hentai collection. Um, not having read any Anne rice or participated in these discussions the example doesn't mean too much to me. But if you are referring to my chronic need to categorize it's not purely due to small minded-ness. It's because I do have Yaoi titles on my review page, and I want them to be in the most supportive category / way. I'm in an argument on this already :) Effectively hentai is `perverted' and is a negative term. And it contains a lot of material that is `perverted' and negative. I'd like to see a seperation between quality material and exploitative masturbation flicks. As

a result, within the very limited domain of my own page, I've already seperated hentai and erotica so that `End of Summer' does not rub shoulders with `Urotsukidoji' or La Blue Girl. I consider this to give `quality' hentai, such as yaoi and EoS, a better chance of being noticed amongst the morass of really crappy hentai that dominates that category. And I do this as a supporter (albeit not a fan) of yaoi. Incidentally it also occurred to me how interesting it was you mentioned CCS and Sailor Moon as examples of shoujo that yaoi doesn't fit with. While it took a while to realise, don't both of these titles have examples of homoerotica? (although obviously not explicit).
