Bachelor Degree In Business Wanted
Q: I am interested in taking up a bachelor degree
via distance education, but is unsure of the
value and recongisation that most universities
online. Any good universities to recommend ?
preferably accredited !!! Oh, yes, if work
experience is given credits, I would put it at
the top of my list..... I got about 4 years of
working experiences and hope it can be converted
into credits. Thanks all for taking the time to

A:Thomas Edison State College (http://www.tesc.edu) has no limit on the
number of credits you can earn through Portfolio Assessment. By portfolio,
you could document knowledge gained while working, playing, ad infinitum.
You might still need to take some courses and/or exams to satisfy core
requirements or electives. As far as value is concerned, the Thomas Edison
will (probably) cost you less than $8000. Bear in mind that a BA/BS can be
earned for under $3000 as well...
Recognition is dependent upon accreditation, preferably of the regional
variety. Thomas Edison is regionally accredited. Therefore, the quality of
your degree is not likely to be questioned. Thomas Edison grads have also
been admitted to top grad schools.
A word of caution before you begin. Translating "work experience" into
college credit requires that
