Baby Crib
The baby crib as we know it is much different than those of yesteryear. In the early days baby cribs much resembled wooden boxes sometimes with a piece of wood at either side to enable the box to rock for baby's pleasure or mother convenience. Additional features might have included carvings in the wood for baby's name or what ever the parents seemed fit. Some cribs were lined with straw and hay, moss, or grasses to add a little extra padding. These baby cribs were handed down generation after generation and are sought after by antique dealers all over the world. The baby cribs that bring the most value are the one previously owned by famous babies or the baby cribs that are the result of a great artist at work. Original paint and pictures are very important to it appraised value. New baby cribs can be made of almost any sturdy material. Although cradles such as the one previously described are still home made and have the same general concept, new ideas pop up daily. Bars were added to crib which are adjustable to ensure the safety of the baby.
