Automatic Letterhead Creation?

Q: Is it possible to have WP2002 automatically print predefined text as part of the print job for a document printed to a tray defined as 'letterhead' but containing plain paper? We are wanting to create our letterhead and print the letter in one pass through the laser printer and to have this happen automatically to any print job sent to the selected tray.

A: -I have my letterhead in a template. It's just formatted text, but you could include a graphic if your wanted. I simply use that template to create the first page of any document needing letterhead. I placed a button on my keyboard to open the template. It has automatic date insertion to place the current date centered just below my letterhead, then scoots down to where the address block begins. -Follow-up: On the other hand, if what you are asking for is a method to print *any WP print job* (old or new document) with your letterhead on the page, then you could also set up the letterhead

as a watermark (perhaps using one or more textboxes inside the watermark). Then you could copy the watermark code into a QuickWord and insert it as needed by typing the QW, or insert the code with a macro assigned to a key or toolbar button. See my Tips page about "stamping" documents, assigning macros to keys and buttons, etc. Alternative: You could print using FinePrint (www.fineprint.com), which can add a watermark as "Stationery" to the background of any page from any program. They have a free trial version available. It's also a very useful program to save paper for draft work, reports, etc., since it can print from any program and produce 2-up, 4-up, etc.
