Associate Degree In Applied Science For Paraleagal... ?
Q: I am in parks college studying to become a paralegal and they are going to give me an associate degree for that. I want to know if that is a waste of time because there not certified by AB
A: Will i be able to get a job after i
graduate? Or am i wasting my time? Does anyone have an opinion of parks
college?
A:Myself and another male graduated at the top of our class at an ABA
approved paralegal school with an Associate of Applied Science Legal
Assistant-Paralegal.
I am, also, a Registered Nurse. I, also, took and passed the Certified
Legal Assistant Exam. Neither the other male nor myself were ever
offered any paralegal job despite our being at the top of our class.
Many, if not most, minorities and females received lucrative job
offers as paralegals even before graduation despite having
significantly lower grades than either he or I. The discrimination
against males in all traditionally female jobs such as paralegals and
nursing is rampant. The Federal Government not only does not protect
caucasian males from discrimination in tradtionally female jobs, it
promulgates this same discrimination. The discrimination against males
in the paralegal profession is well known. Male R.N.'s, who compromise
approximately 5% of the Registered Nurses in the USA, are leaving
nursing at approximately twice the rate as female Registered Nurses.
The aforementioned clearly indicates that males face discrimination
which the Federal Government promulgates not only in tradtionally male
jobs but also in tradtionally female jobs. You might be lucky and
obtain a job as a paralegal. I suggest that you take and pass the
Certified Legal Assistant exam. The same will assist you a great deal
in obtaining employment as a paralegal.
The Center for Individual Rights has filed a law suit in Federal
District Court with the caption "Worth v. Martinez" alleging that the
EEOC and HUD have promulgated massive reverse discrimination against
caucasian males.
That's not very reassuring. I don't want to waste time
