Anti-Depressants - Side Effects ?
Q: I have been on Luvox for a long time and I'm wondering if there is an
anti-depressant that has minimal sexual side effects and side effects
in general? It's funny because my main panic symptom is dizziness and
Luvox states that a major side effect is dizziness/vertigo. What are
the best drugs out there that won't ruin what's left of my sex life?
A:Of the SSRI`s, Luvox is least likely to cause sexual dysfunction. Serzone is
another AD that is least likely to cause this problem.
You might want to give this dizziness a few days to abate before doing anything
about it. There is a chance the dizziness you are experiencing is due to the
stress you are under, your cold and/or the recent Luvox increase. If any of
these reasons are the cause, the dizziness should decrease soon.
Also.........alot of anti-depressants have dizziness as a common side-effect,
even if you did switch to another AD, there is no predicting if you would have
this side-effect or not. It`s all trial and error when it comes to
anti-depressants and trying to find the most effective ones with the least
side-effects.
Another option would be to take a benzo on a regular basis.
The dizziness is terrible and seems funny to
treat panic which main symptom is dizziness with a drug that has
dizziness as a side effect:-)
The Luvox doesn't seem to make me aggressive but seems to delay orgasm
for a long time. Next to the dizziness this is the only other real
side effect that I get and I really am unhappy about both of them.
I hadn't experienced any side effects from Seroxat (paroxetine
hydrochloride) when
