As for finding out whether or not someone is a lawyer, most professionals are required to be registed in the state they practice in if they have a very demanding job (CPAs, Lawyers, Doctors). Plus, Alec signed his email to me with a "Attorney at Law, University of North Carolina School of Law, 1987". I'm going to do some digging, and verify his claims, as it is suspicious that an Attorney would run a game shop and not practice law.
