Advertising Campaign

An advertising campaign is an attempt to reach a particular target market by designing a series of advertisements and placing them in various advertising media. The campaign usually has a particular theme and is implemented over a specific time frame. We've all experienced these campaigns in our daily life--on television, radio, the internet, or the side of a bus. They often coincide with the launch of a new or improved product, or just a new spin on the way the company has decided to sell their existing product. The various advertising media can include everything from radio spots to billboards. An advertising campaign is usually carried out by an advertising agency. This industry also includes media representatives-firms that sell advertising space for publications, radio, television, and the internet. And it also includes display advertisers-businesses that create and design public display ads for use in shopping malls, on billboards, etc. and also direct mail advertisers. Most advertising agencies specialize in a particular market niche. Or, in large agencies, internal groups are often formed to serve particular types of needs. For example, there may be a separate group that focuses on the electronic needs of internet advertising. An advertising campaign can be an important tool in boosting sales and increasing the public's exposure to your product. Most companies do not have the staff, or the money to employ the staff, with the necessary skills or experience

to create an effective advertising campaign. Also, many advertising campaigns are temporary, so there's no reason to hire and fund an advertising department. Instead, companies commonly solicit bids from ad agencies to develop advertising for them. These ad agencies usually offer their services by making presentations and offering bids. In choosing an agency to design and implement an advertising campaign, it makes sense to choose one that specializes or has experience with your particular type of product or industry. Review their track record, have they implemented a successful advertising campaign in the past? Also take a look at their past campaigns and see if you like what they've done.
