Acid Reflux Infants Symptoms
Q: I am having a lot of problems with my infants.
We tried everything, but she cried anytime she was awake. Bouncing, rocking, white noise helped a bit, but it was obvious
she was in pain. So instead of listening to her pediatrician, I went to a
GI. She was diagnosed with reflux and treated with Zantac. After a week or
so, she was a new baby. For those of you with "colicky" babies, PLEASE
please get them checked for reflux. They DO NOT have to be spitting up to
have it. In fact, she rarely spit up, she has what's called silent
reflux, and it's actually worse since the acid it running through the
esophogus twice.
I am writing this post because I am concerned about some of you out
there with "colicky" babies. IMO (and the opinion of many doctors I've
spoken with) colic does not exhist. It is just a term meaning that your
baby is in pain and they don't know why. It is usually digestive-related.
I am going to post some links below to good info sites about pediatric
reflux (GERD).
While I understand the hype of gripe water, I'd be cautious. If your
baby had reflux, the acid could be doing serious damage to their esophogus
and needs to be treated with an acid-neutralizer such as zantac
Can anyone help me please?

explainable reason. I had two babies with those colicky symptoms and it
wasn't reflux or any other problem and yes it was checked out by a GI. It
seemed that at the three month mark, it went away. So yes, while it
