Acid Reflux Children

Q: On one of the television news programs: 2.4 million children in the USA are on Ritalin... with approximately 20% of children 12 years of age and younger on Prozac, Zoloft, and Paxil. Then, of course, many children are 'getting' heartburn, reflux, and hiatal hernias ... which can proceed to Barrett's Esophagus, a pre-cancerous condition... which can then become Esophageal Cancer. There has been a 350% rise in Esophageal Cancer in white males ... Something is very wrong!! Anyone has any comment here?

A:This statement has zero validity--and it's designed to have none. Over what period of time? By what studies? Of how many people? Has there been any study done on non-white non-males? Source? Evidence that other environmental factors are not to blame? A lot of "cans" are piled up in that sentence, may I knock them over? Have you established a causal link between heartburn and your spurious numbers about antidepression in the first paragraph? No, I didn't think so. a child who says "I wish I were dead" or an adult who acts upon that wish does so over "normal" behavior?
