Acid Reflux Cause Shortness Of Breath
Q: Can heartburn and acid reflux cause shallow breathing?
Sometimes, I get this "burning breathing" syndrome that is accompanied by a
sensation of shallow breathing. It's a little different than shortness of
breath. It kinda feels like my lungs are chopped off horizontally in the
middle of my chest.
It also gets worse in an air-conditioned room.
This symptom is at its worse during the spring and the summer. Then it seems
to disappear during the fall and winter.
Can anybody relate to this
A:You hang out at home for the ph test and the polyps are totally painless and you would be unaware
of them w/o the EGD. As far as my basic ppi history I took prevacid 15 mg
once a day for 7 years until it stopped after the gastro excised my polyps.
It worked great and I could eat or drink anything w/o any heartburn or
discomfort. I ended up taking 20 mg (OTC) prilosec once per day, after
large doses of prevacid and protonix failed in 2004. It worked fine for 3
years until I stopped it to see if I could get by on H2 blockers because of
the polyps (I used to test stopping the prevacid and never had any problems
