2 Types Of Business-card CD-Rs

Q: have seen 2 types of CD-Rs in Busines Card format: 1. The normal 80mm with two sides snipped off to make them fit the wallet. These have two flat and two round sides. 2. A transparent-plastic business-card, with a perfectly round CD-R embedded inside with 30MB of space. The card itself is a bit longer than 80mm.. They don't have any label on either side, and it looks like they might have data-tracks on both sides. How does one (visually or any other method) find out which is the (a) writeable side? They have the usual (serial#) stamp in the transparent center area, and some text along the inner rim. SHould that be readable up or down? The first type should work w/o problem on most drives, as it fits into the center part of the tray. But the transparent cards are a bit larger. (They do have 4 small notches that fit the groove though)... has anyone got experience with these? They loog a bit better than the first

kind for card purposes.

A: Stick a blank one in your writer & see if it stabilizes. If it doesn't, turn it over. It should stabilize in a writer on one surface or the other.
