Hundreds were said to be injured, and a medical student at a hospital in Homs told Al Jazeera that there was an urgent need for blood as medics were struggling to attend to the injured. The BBC has tweeted that "more than a hundred people have been killed in [this] latest violence". Anonymous tweets that reports say that more than 200 are dead and 700 are injured.
