Bush's Popularity Reaches New Low

Dan Balz and Richard Morin | Washington, DC | November 4

WaPo - For the first time in his presidency a majority of Americans question the integrity of President Bush, and growing doubts about his leadership have left him with record negative ratings on the economy, Iraq and even the war on terrorism, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows.

Can you say "suckitude?"

require of him:

Love the graphs on Political Animal. Am I being naive or is there a tiny ray of hope the general electorate is wising up?

You hit a mule between the eyes with a 2x4 enough times, and he will get the point.

Bush will not be impeached, and he will not resign.  My fondest hope is that the uninformed sector of the voting public will pull the blue knobs in 2006 and 2008.  Let's hope it's not too late to recover from the hosing BushCo has laid upon the world.

the telltale oscillation at the tip of a spinning gyroscope that signals the end of its stability and the beginning of its death spasms.

The wobbles were the signal - we are seeing the accelerating fall today. The general public will truly catch on right about the time the top hits the deck.

The only real questions in my mind for the last six months have been "how much damage will the gyroscope do as it falls?" and "how effective will the Republican party be at claiming it wasn't their gyroscope?".

Like I said many times back then... it's a sunny day.
